Spanking New Apple Products

I'm staying up past my bedtime watching the live feed of Steve Job's keynote speech at MacWorld San Francisco (well, sort of live feed, if you call 3 lines of text every 3 minutes a live feed - best we got though so no complaints).  You are probably smarter than me and didn't, so I suggest you scooter on over to the apple store and see what goodies Uncle Steve announced.  I can tell you that as of now, thinksecret's predictions are spot on - iLife 05 announced... iPhoto which can accept RAW files and movies from your camera, and has exposure controls... iMovie HD announced...  Garageband updated... Tiger demoed... I'm gonna crash now though, here's hoping there's a G5 powerbook (fat chance)...

Painting - Un Tit Led

This is a painting about language.  It's also about paintings.  And paint.  It evokes the scent of spray adhesive on a steamy singapore evening.  Tip: spray adhesive and geckos = Much Amusement.

Bullshit aside, I painted it when I was really upset, so that's why it's all black and gray.  Symbolic, see.  I am so deep.  Actually, it's still uncool for guys to get upset (it could be construed as gay) so I'll strike upset and go for the more masculine Angry.  That's better I think.

P.S. if anybody really hates it, I totally understand.  I hate it too.

Ok Chaps, Chappettes,

I have justy become aware that my [email protected] email is NOT working, and probably hasn't been since before the DNS Bullshit debacle of mid december.  During that particular Tech Huff I asked for my cancellation code to change domain hosting from GoDaddy (Hi! You suck) to someone, ANYONE better.  After I realised that ALL domain hosting sucks I decided to forget about paying $35 to change to another crappy host and deal with the same bullshit over again.  BUT GoDaddy kindly switched off my email, soooooooo...

Long moaning story short - in the unlikely event that someone sent me an email about neverhappened (projected email over this period: zero) then please send it again.  It could have been important, as I just received an email from someone wanting to volunteer to go to Sri Lanka to help with the rebuilding of the school in Kathaluwa.  Any enquiries should be directed to Helene Von Roda,  Ataullah's (aka AT) sister, a landscape architect who recently moved from Hamburg to live near Galle and is co-ordinating the project.  100% of all donations received are going to the rebuilding of this school.  The details to donate again are:

Not exactly a food, but something you chew to pass the time while in Taiwan.  About the size and colour of an acorn, split like a hotdog bun with some kind of rusty red paste smeared inside and half of something that looks a bit like a mini lotus head for the hotdog.  Chewing them is strangely addictive and somehow hedonistically pleasurable in the same way that smoking a cigarette can be - you know it's gotta be bad for you but you do it anyway.  Until you quit because you have bad breath and stained teeth and you are standing outside in the cold spitting with a bunch of people you don't really know.
