Jessica Joslin - sculpts these incredible animal like creatures which to me are unbelievably beautiful even in their frightening manifestations. I stumbled across her a while ago and meant to post about her wonderful art and website. Now she is involved in this Chicago art fair which looks awesome. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to get on a plane and go over to Chicago for the week?

Generated by algorithmically abstracting 1970s-era iconic films by well-regarded directors. Frames are sampled in time and organized in outwardly flowing concentric rings. The choice of films and technique has something to do with my dad, my youth, onanistic self-indulgence, and the auteur.

I propose that this kind of art - which takes information from just about anywhere (traffic conditions, weather reports, television) and uses it to create artworks - be called Dataism. Jason Salavon could be the André Breton (no relation unfortunately) of the Dataist movement.  What do you think?
