Not sure if I blogged about Cai Guo-Qiang before or if I Almost Blogged him (that's when you make a New Special Bookmark Folder called Must Blog and fill it up with stuff and never blog it) but I've just been alerted to an interesting installation by Cai in Berlin by an observant reader with an interest in swordspersonship.
'Head On' by Cai Guo-Qiang at the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin. The installation consists of 99 life-sized wolves, fabricated from painted sheepskins and stuffed with hay and metal wires, barreling in a continous stream towards - and into - a glass wall. Only the first ones crash into it, but the pack chases after the leader.
Strangely I often feel as if I am barreling amongst a constant stream of stuffed wolves towards - and into - a glass wall. Coincidence?
Coincidence? No. I think merely a chance occurence remarkable only for its apparent connectedness

Thank god it wasn't a coincidence - they can be nasty without the proper protective clothing...
