Plan for the AA, London

This plan is made as part of a solo-exhibition in 2006 at the AA-school (Architectural Association) in London. Depending on the final budget the plan will be realized at Badford Square in may next year.
A car, placed up-side-down, is annexated by a wooden structure. Partially made of brown en green planks, resembling camouflage colours, and two intimidating dark windows, the structure gets an subversive character.
On one side, an explosion of red glass and wood, will both emphasize this character. On the other side this "explosion", as well as the beautifull stained-glass window on the back-side will give the structure a seductive beauty. The explosion of red glass or plexiglass will be in the style of my recent sculpture Outpost # 1.
The car will be accesssible by the passengers-door. The lounge inside, will be characterised by the beautifull light of the coloured glass and the dark views from the two big tinted windows. As best as possible I will make the work in such a way, that it won't be very vulnerable to vandalism.
The glass will be made of hardened glass, the stained glass will be protected by strong lexan and the wood will be glue together tightly and spraied/impregnated with a anti-fire fluid. The entrance-door can be properly locked.
