Spanking New Apple Products

I'm staying up past my bedtime watching the live feed of Steve Job's keynote speech at MacWorld San Francisco (well, sort of live feed, if you call 3 lines of text every 3 minutes a live feed - best we got though so no complaints).  You are probably smarter than me and didn't, so I suggest you scooter on over to the apple store and see what goodies Uncle Steve announced.  I can tell you that as of now, thinksecret's predictions are spot on - iLife 05 announced... iPhoto which can accept RAW files and movies from your camera, and has exposure controls... iMovie HD announced...  Garageband updated... Tiger demoed... I'm gonna crash now though, here's hoping there's a G5 powerbook (fat chance)...

A new invention that is a universal remote that turns off almost any television. The device, which looks like an automobile remote, has just one button. When activated, it spends over a minute flashing out 209 different codes to turn off televisions, the most popular brands first.

The Japanese are definitely the frontrunners in the development and equipping of vending machines. Estimates suggest there are 5.6 million vending machines which works out to be one for every 20 people in Japan. Sales from vending machines in 2000 totaled $56 billion! From very useful to disgusting ones -  I am still a fan of t-shirt vending machines – but there are also other cool dispensers around. For example the art-o-mat… which dispenses artist info packs…
